According to <a href="https://www.viralnewsonly.com/jadagomez/the-beatles-movie-first-look-cast">George Harrison</a>, it happened in 1965 during dinner with a person they referred to as the "wicked dentist".

This is truly wild but basically a teen magazine called Tops of Pops wrote a story about the group, gave them all nicknames and it just stuck.

Why did I have no idea this happened until I was researching facts for this post?!?!
