This is my grandfather meeting my son, his first great grandson. This picture is so special to me...my grandfather had late stage dementia at this point, but holding my son brought such a calm over him, and he was thrilled to just watch him sleep. My grandfather passed away about a week after this photo was taken, but I am so glad he was able to meet my son.

My parents flew from New York to Guam and stayed the first two weeks to help us adjust. I've only ever seen my dad tear up twice, the second time being the day he left to go back home.
